• Basically the spring lock (or also known as poly lock) is to be screwed to the frame of your greenhouse where you need to lock the poly down.
• This aluminum base can be bent as you screw it onto your frame. Or cut it if you need to by using a hack saw.
• Then you put the poly on.
Spring Lock
B&W’s locking system ranks at the top with customers.
Spring Lock base (also known as “poly lock”) is made from rust proof, aluminum. The aluminum base gets screwed directly onto the greenhouse frame using TEK screws. (self drilling, self tapping screws)
The base can hold two sets of spring inserts.
The aluminum base comes in 12’ lengths and will bend to the profile of a gothic arch with no problem. The aluminum cuts easily with a hack saw if needed.
The steel wire inserts are rust proof, stainless steel.
The springs come in 6-1/2' increments. They can be cut with wire cutters.
Cover your gable ends first.

Then the roof.
One way is to: Be sure there are no objects that can rip into your poly as you pull it over your frame. Open your poly alongside the length of your greenhouse. Tie a rope to the corner of the poly at each end and throw the ropes over your frame. Then gently pull and coax the poly over the frame.
• Another way is to bring the whole roll of poly onto the ridge of your greenhouse, and unroll it as you go along.
• Lock it into the aluminum base of the spring lock using the springs to hold it into the spring lock base. Wiggle the spring back and forth to do this. If you like, you can practice before you have your poly on just to get the knack of it first. Try to get the poly nice and tight and straight. Do not do this on a windy day.
It's best on a warm calm day. Get help. (Four people are better than two!)
